From the preface I read how they are just wanting to update the wording of the King James and that they are being faithful to the Greek and Hebrew. Quite frankly folks, it is not what it claims to be and it is "NOT" a simple updating of the King James Version. There are approximately 60,000 textual changes made in the NKJV™. From the evidence below, it looks more to me like a new translation than an updated revision.

Before I go too far into the next section which deals with the New King James Version, I'd like you to look at something if you will. Remember that I mentioned a "Hidden Agenda"? Do you also remember my mentioning the Celtic cross on the NIV? Well look at what the NJKV has on it's cover.

The Triquetra:

Inside the front cover of the New King James we find this explanation about why the Triquetra is on this book:

  • The Triquetra from the Latin word meaning three cornered is an ancient symbol for the Trinity. It comprises three interwoven arcs, distinct yet equal and inseparable, symbolizing the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct yet equal persons and individually one God.
    • Yeah, Right!!! Sure it is... Scope out what I found out about the Triquetra:

[Image] To the left is three esoteric "6"'s. Clearly showing the number "666". It is an ancient Gnostic symbol that you can find reference to now as a New Age Movement symbol. You will also find this symbol on a book named "The Craft: A Witch's Book of Shadows, also called the Grimoire. It's a book of spells, enchantments, Wicca ethics and rituals. Don't believe my word on it. Do a search in your favorite search engine and look on the cover of the book.

To the left is a image of what is known as the Triquetra Grimoire. A Witches book of Spells and Incantations

To the right is a blow-up image of the medallion found on this dark and evil book above.

[Image] The image on the left is the New King James Version logo on the inside cover of the book and is in all actuality an ancient symbol for the pagan trinity of Isis, Horus, & Seb, and then the Celtic symbol for the triple aspects of the Goddess (Maiden, Mother and Crone) and not the Christian Godhead. Use of these number symbols can be traced all the way to Pythagoras (582 B.C.) initiate into the Egyptian mysteries.  Another source I've found dates it back even 5000 years ago to the three forces of nature: earth, air, and water (Elementals). The symbol was revived again by the satanist Aleister Crowley for the Royal Arch (Lucifer) of the 3rd Degree of the York. The symbol's shape is made as three initiates join arms and feet, while repeating the names of ancient pagan trinity. This symbol can also be seen on satanic rock group albums like Led Zeppelin, as well as on new Age bestselling books like the Aquarian Conspiracy.

Hey, if you happen to have a Nelson New King James Bible. It could be possible that you can find this emblem on the inside cover. Now why in Heavens name would you imagine that this is in there? Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV)

Would the Lord God want any type of pagan symbol on His Devine Book?

After a careful search of pagan symbols I found a link to this particular book called "The Craft ~ A Witch's Book of Shadows" by Dorothy Morrison. Do you see the triquetra symbol between the words "TheCraft" & "A Witch's Book of Shadows"? This book contains satanic spells, enchantments, and rituals. It also includes Wicca Ethics if there is such a thing. The companion book, "The Craft Companion ~ A Witch's Journal" also has the symbol right on the front.

[Image] You might believe the image to the left is a Christian Cross. Wrong! It is a satanic crest (pendant) that can be purchased where occult symbols and jewelry are sold. Look closely at the arms of this particular cross. What do you see?

You will also find this symbol used all over the place in the television series called "Charmed". The story of three witch sisters very popular today on TV.

When Charmed begins, look at the book of spells they use and sure enough you will find this symbol on the cover.

Then there is the ever controversial book written by a Rabbi Yonassan Gershom, The Aquarian Conspiracy. A description of the New Age culture in America. Interestingly we find the triquera here also. In her notes to answer some of the people who recognized this symbol for what it is she says: "What the logo reminds ME of is a triple Moebius strip -- that's a single-sided surface that every mathematician is familiar with." I ask you though, what on earth does mathematics have to do with the New Age movement? Was it put there just as a decoration? If it looks like a skunk, walks like a skunk, & smells like a skunk it must be a rabbit??? No, it's a SKUNK!!!

One other thing she mentions is: "How ironic, that the Christian fundamentalist reviewers here have taken the title of this book so LITERALLY, as referring to some kind of sinister plot. Then again, fundamentalists take everything literally, so what's new?" Dear lady, I'm not a fundamentalist! I'm an original Baptist and I agree with my fundamentalist brethren and also see exactly what they see with perfect clarity. Hummmmmm...

So what do we find in the New King James Version (NKJV™) which uses a satanic symbol for its emblem??? I haven't got a good report here either folks. Would you expect me to in light of the above information?

Now dog gone it. I wear a hat with a cross on it and the passage below it 1st Corinthians 1:18. It plainly says that those who are lost think the preaching of the cross (crucifiction) is foolishness but to us that ARE SAVED it is the POWER of GOD. The New King James makes it look like we are having to Work for our Salvation because we are in the process of BEING SAVED....

  • (KJV)1st Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
  • (NKJV™) 1st Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
    • Your will also find this same verse perverted in the same way in the NIV. 1st Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
      • It's interesting to note that these two examples from the NKJV and the NIV are exactly the same. Not only this particular scripture but  because of many other changed verses we are starting to hear preachers proclaiming that there is a need for two acts of Grace before we are saved. What a pity. 2nd Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables
        • *NOTE: Any version that uses the variation shown above in 1 Corinthians 1:18 is most likely tainted with the Alexandrian text.

And below they are doing it again, gee whiz. Either we ARE (sanctified) or we are NOT (sanctified). You can't straddle the fence.

  • (KJV) Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
  • (NKJV™) Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Ever wondered how we would recognize the Antichrist when he appears? In the book of Daniel we see a clear sign of his coming. (KJV) Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

The verse I want you to focus on for this example is:

  • (KJV) Daniel 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
  • (NKJV™) Daniel 8:25 "Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means.
    • I showed you the evidence of Satanic practices and witchery in the NKJV™ by the symbol used on this book. Now look at some of the scriptural evidence. The word craft is basically the practice of satanic rite or witch craft. The word craft has been replaced with the word deceipt. Two totally different words meaning two seperate things. Hey, if I were the antichrist I certainly wouldn't want you to know what tools I'll be using to take over the world.

Here is something that is just plumb evil. To kneel is not to worship. Yes, we kneel sometimes to worship but we kneel for many other things. To worship IS NOT just an act of kneeling! This dear lady came and recognized the deity of Jesus in adoration of the Son of God.

  • (KJV) Matthew 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
  • (NKJV™) Matthew 20:20 Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him.

This particular example I would consider lust plain ole sneaky. Is the way to eternal life a place where sidestepping is allowed without reprimand, in other words with rules or is it just merely Difficult? By the way, notice the way is no longer narrow in the NKJV™. They switched it around for some reason.

  • (KJV) Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life.
  • (NKJV™) Matthew 7:14 Because narrow is the gate and DIFFICULT is the way which leads to life,

How about our need to study God's Word? Don't we need to STUDY???

  • (KJV) 2nd Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
  • (NKJV™) 2nd Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Did you know that the word Godhead, which some call "the Holy Trinity" was too strong a word for the NKJV translators? You know, God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Ghost. Instead these fine folks just wanted you to know about Gods devine nature. Either the word describes our Holy Triune God or it doesn't. The facts are, this verse has been weakend beyond belief.

  • (KJV) Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
  • (NKJV™) Acts 17:29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising.

Then there seems to be this dislike of the concept of a physical hell. The word hell has been removed from the NKJV 23 times. What it is substituted with is really alarming. By replacing "hell" with "Hades" and "Sheol"! Hades noun (in stories of Ancient Greece) a place under the earth where the spirits (= forms of dead people that cannot be seen) of the dead go; the underworld. Location of the Elasion fields, the river Styx.

What on earth does hell have to do with ancient Greek mythology? Nothing actually. Hades was a place where the ancient Greeks believed ALL would spend eternity in bliss or torment. Hell on the other hand is a place of eternal condemnation for the damned. Two different and distinct definitions. (KJV) Luke:16:22: And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And what about Sheol? She·ol Pronunciation: shE-'Ol, 'shE-" noun, Hebrew She'Ol, the abode of the dead in early Hebrew thought. This was the place also referred to as Paradise where souls awaited the coming of the Messiah. It's location was in the inner earth separated from the torments of hell by a great gulf of space. (KJV) Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.  Jesus, after his resurrection, freed the faithful souls from Paradise/Sheol  Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death., so that these souls could be with him in Glory. (KJV) 2nd Corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

I would reckon that the word "Gehenna" no longer has a meaning to these scholars either. geenna, gheh'-en-nah; of Heb. or; valley of (the son of) Hinnom; gehenna (or Ge-Hinnom), a valley of Jerus., used (fig.) as a name for the place (or state) of everlasting punishment:--hell. It's interesting to note though that the translators were a bit inconsistent in their use of Hades in place of Gehenna in that they left Hell (gehenna) in some places and removed it from others. Go figure...

There are a few noted evangelists that have stopped preaching about hell because they no longer believe in its literal existence. Billy Graham for one has been quoted that he denies hell fire by saying it is "not fire." Brother Billy, by the way was one of the strongest supporters of the New King James Version when it was first published. Ouch Billy!!! What are you thinking???

There is a bunch more removed but let me break this down for you. In the New King James Version:

  • The word "God" has been removed 51 times.
  • The word "Jehovah" has been removed completely.
  • The word "Lord" has been removed 66 times.
  • The word "heaven" has been removed 50 times.
  • The word "repent" has been removed 44 times.
  • The word "blood" has been removed 23 times.
  • The word "new testament" has been removed completely.
  • The word "damnation" has been removed completely.
  • The word "devils" has been removed completely.

Now that would qualify as a Bad Thing don't you think?!?!?! Galations 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (KJV)
