There are three things that I think can make the Church one God can bless:

1. The true and accurate preaching and teaching of the Word of God. There can be NO deviation from the Scripture and how the members live that out. Acts tells us about the way the wonderful church at Berea studied the Word daily, partly to check if what Paul was preaching was so. How we need that mindset and activity today!

2. Evangelism and practical ministry are next and are vital. We cannot expect folks to just come flocking to our churches. We HAVE to get outside those walls and share JESUS! That is most often done best by (a) our living example and (b) reaching out to help meet people's practical needs. I think Matthew 28:19-20 says this best. It's the Great Commission. Notice that I have started by Jesus' saying that He has all power in heaven and earth to make us true witnesses unto Him!

3. The next is love! If you don't think that's important read John 8:34-35. It certainly seems to me that the one thing that people need most is to know is that they are loved. We can do that for anyone when we let them know that God loves them and when we have the compassion to hear and meet their needs and to pray for them. Prayer is a very vital part of this, and we need to pray WITH anyone who asks us to pray FOR them. That does two things: (a) it keeps you honest: you DO pray! and (b) It lets the person you are praying for know that you love them and care enough for them to lift their needs to the Father of Mercy and Grace.

Goodness folks, I think this about one of my shortest devotions, and I think I'll keep it that way! Love to all of you!
