In the late 1800's a young man and woman were just leaving the church after getting hitched (married for you city folks). About three miles before they got to the honeymoon cottage, the horse pulling their buggy slipped and fell. The groom got out of the buggy, helped the horse back up, looked the horse in the eye and says: "That's One"!
This really seemed a curious thing to the new bride but she choose to just let it go and not ask why he did it. So the groom hops back into the buggy and down the road they went. About half way to the honeymoon cottage the horse stumbles again. The groom gets out of the buggy, helps the horse back up, looked the horse in the eye again and said: "That's Two"!
The actions of her new husband seemed so strange to the new bride but she still held her peace. So again, the groom hops back into the buggy and down the road they went. Just as they caught sight of the honeymoon cottage the horse stumbles for the third time and falls in a ditch. The groom gets out of the buggy, looks at the horse laying in the ditch and says: "That's Three". He pulls out his pistol and shoots the horse dead... '''BANG'''
The new bride couldn't stand it anymore so she yells out at her new husband: "What on earth did you do that for"???
The groom calmly looks his new wife right betwixed the eyes and says: "That's One"!
