God, I don't understand...
I don't understand why the wicked prosper and the righteous struggle.
I don't understand why everyone turns their back on me when I feel I am doing what is right.
Why everything I worked for can be torn down in a split second. It's like I am standing on a glass floor that is starting to crack and around me is everyone I trusted and cared about. I see them laughing and telling me I am crazy for believing the things I do. But the longer I stand on what I believe the bigger the crack becomes as they grow closer.
They begin yelling at me and throwing stones of condemnation at me and as they fall to the glass, it begins to break.
Just as the glass floor I once stood so firmly on begins to fall out from beneath me you throw down a rope and I catch it just in time.
The glass along with everyone that were so sure of themselves begins to fall from around me leaving me holding on to the one thing I had been holding on to all along.
Just when it seems like I am at the end of my rope, I look up and see you holding me up. God, I don't understand why things happen... But God, I do know that you are always there to reach down and I am never alone.
